Vandini's Story

Meet Vandini, who is not only an avid runner, but also passionately supports Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland and the work that the charity does. Whilst not a stranger to running marathons having completed several marathons in South Africa, she is stepping back onto the pavement for a powerful cause. After moving to the UK, Vandini wanted a challenge that truly mattered — and found the perfect mission with Age UK.

Having previously volunteered at Age UK’s Christmas Day Lunch, Vandini witnessed firsthand the incredible impact the charity has on supporting older people and combating isolation. That experience sparked a lasting passion to do more.

Now, every mile of training is fuelled by a mission to ensure no older person has to feel alone.
